On Sunday 2nd December we held a charity
fundraiser to help out a young girl called Cara Louise, who is in
urgent need of a specialist bed to make her more comfortable.
She suffers from a condition called
Rett Syndrome.
Our guests on the day included Jim Leishman,
Director of Dunfermline FC, Bobby Dee, the well known All round
entertainer, and
Joanie, who has performed at the Tapshoap for quite a while now.
We were also privileged to meet a young lady of 12
called Carly Schiavone, who has an amazing singing voice, and will
surely go far. Our best hopes and wishes for the future, Carly.
We are still totting up the "scores on the doors",
but we reckon we have made around £1700 towards Cara's Bed, which
costs in excess of £3000.
Items sold at auction included a signed
Dunfermline FC strip, a signed Rangers strip and Celtic strip, and
we also received donations from Fife Police and Lumphinnans AFC
towards our total.
Jim Leishman was kind enough to offer more money
towards our already impressive total by arranging a fundraiser for January 20th at
Dunfermline FC.
Info to come soon.
